I had a dream where on one part of the dream someone who was attacking me made a deep cut around the base of my left thumb, hoping to make me bleed out. I escaped, and when I put pressure on the wound, it suddenly healed very quickly, pretty miraculously.

Thumb could be apostleship, or apostolic, and someone trying to destroy the foundation of it or your calling by what they say to discourage ( cut at the base of the thumb)
The thumb is frequently a symbol of authority (the only finger on the hand capable of touching each and every other finger). It can also speak of a journey to reach a destination without necessarily having a way to get their on your own, as it would be used for hitchhiking. It is also used as a symbol that things are good or alright, as in a thumbs up.
