The door is always open in my dream

in Dreams for Interpretation

Hi,

I am glad I found this place, maybe someone can help me with a dream I had in the past 20 years or so.

The background (in real life): in my childhood I lived with my grandma in a friendly neighbourhood, super safe. We were living on the last floor in a three floor building. One evening, around 9 p.m. I left my friends and went home, It was gray summer day, no rain, but no one was around except a friend of mine whom.

After I said goodbye, when I've arrved on the second floor, I've stopped, no idea why and from the lobby I've heard strong running footsteps going up after me. I ran like crazy, went in and closed the door, but in a matter of second, someone was ringing at the door and said he is selling fish. It was nonsense because no one was doing that here, selling fish from door to door. My grandma and me could look on the door sight because our height couldn't reach that and was also dark. Anyway, he left, nothing happend but I was terrified for a few months after that.

The dream: Now, I have this recurrence that keeps on coming in my dreams. The door has a problem and can't close right. The door brake is broken or the locks are not good and can't close the door properly. And many times, there is someone (male, females) there that want to open it, but they can't, even if the door is open and broken.

I've always thought that incident from my childhood was the reason, but I am curious if it might be anything. It doesn't scare me as it was in real life, it just annoys me the hell that the door is jammed and can't close right.

The frequent dreams that you were having suggest something deep and fearful and possible traumas that happened in the past. The Creator is revealing to you that while you are trying to be open in your relationships with people yet there is something that blocking or hindering them from getting close to you and this hindrance/brokeness needs to be dealt with.

@amandalimwx @travelgirl12 and @chiacat Great job to all of you on interpretations and support. Very, very pleased that the level 1 students skipped the background til after interpreting, the dream. This is exactly how I handled it as well.

@haroldsikumar Just a bit more from me that may be helpful (and I still have not read your background info yet just to be clear). This dream indicates that something has lingered leaving you wounded, but that even outside help has not really solved the problem. For me, this means that the solution can only come directly from your Creator and the dream indicates you must set aside the time to seek Him out and find His answers to close this door more permanently and heal the wound.

@haroldsikumar Now after reading your background, I do feel that the dream relates to this, primarily because you feel the connection. There are likely other instances in your early life that have also contributed to this. The key here is that the adversary has sown seeds of fear into you that have made it difficult for you walk in confidence - particularly in new situations. God desires to heal this and embolden you for your future. This dream is reassurance that He has not forgotten you and that He is aware of your wounding and available to bring healing to it. The title you gave your dream seems to indicate that the door may always be open to fear in your life, even in other types of situations.

Hello @haroldsikumar, I did not read the background of your dream before posting this interpretation.

There is something that either happened to you or you saw happen that you have been holding onto. It has been hindering you and your relationships with those in your life. The broken piece has to be fixed so that you can heal and move forward in your relationships.

My interpretation: The opening/entrance to your heart/life is broken and people/things can't come in your life as a result of it. God is calling your attention to the matter so you can seek His help to fix the problem.
