My six year old son had this dream. He said Mr. Wes (drum teacher and strong male influence in his life - almost father-like) has to have part of his right arm cut off while he was in a bathtub. I asked about the arm and he said it was cut off like a surgery at the elbow. He said it hurt. That’s all he could remember. See comments for my take but also a potential update to the details.

Please leave a comment to let them know how they did after you read their interpretation.
Dreams posted to the forum will be interpreted by students. They will likely accumulate during breaks between classes, so please keep this in mind. Remember most interpretations are provided by students and they are learning what they are doing. Moderators will often have more seasoned interpretations when they do comment on a dream. A moderator often responds to Level 1 student interpretations and comments when necessary for Level 2 students. Level 3 students will post interpretations as student moderators.

Really that is the part that requires just listening to Holy Spirit.
This makes sense. And brings a question to mind... how do I know if it’s about a specific person or more general about his future with authority figures?
This dream indicates that your son has a strong calling as a leader, but that there are going to be times when he sees the spiritual authority of others cut off and that this will be painful and effect him, though it is a part of the process of cleaning up past wounds and in preparing for people for their destiny. I suggest that this dream is primarily for prayer as it is unlikely to be one that sharing the interpretation with him will be well understood at his age. Instead it may be best to let him know that this dream is letting him know it is important to pray for others when they go through challenging times so that their calling/destiny will not be lost.
Right frequently relates to our spiritual calling and giftings, as opposed to left which is often our natural talents and abilities. If you know who the dream relates to, then I think it also calls you to prayer for that person. I don't think it is necessarily Mr. Wes, but relates to someone in authority in your son's life.
I have some idea of who Mr. Wes might represent but don’t want to speak into it and lead the interpretation. I feel like whoever it is is about to or is already experiencing a cleansing by amputation in the way Jesus said to cut off a body part if it causes you to sin. The fact that it was a surgery makes me wonder if it’s voluntary or not. I asked him for more info just now and he said that in the dream Mr. Wes told him he was having to have it cut off because he was in the army and got injured in a battle. I’m honestly not sure how to take that last part because he was asking me tons of questions about amputation this morning because I was telling him about his grandpa being a medic in WWII. Being a little drowsy right now I’m not certain that he isn’t mixing it all up together. I had asked several times today if there was anything else in the dream beside my post above. He was adamant. Anyway... maybe that’s a teaching moment for me on dreams with children.
I’m unclear about the significance of the right arm because I see many different meanings for right and don’t have a sense of which it is here.
