Moving into a furnished house

in Dreams for Interpretation

I had this dream either late on 10/16 or early on 10/17:

Someone was walking my husband and I through a furnished house that we would soon be moving into, the house was very familiar to my dream-self (nothing I recall seeing in real life). We walked into a combination office & crafting room, and I was surprised to find that the previous owners had left some personal and important items ... filing cabinets (some with files, some empty) and a very nice sewing machine station. Neither my husband nor our guide seemed to be interested, so they walked out, but I stayed to see what all was there. I opened a filing cabinet and discovered a treasure -- a brand new "communication machine" it was heavy-duty metal, with a pewter-like color with chrome fittings, and I somehow knew that this would enable communication from remote areas; it was a cross between a typewriter and a telephone. Taped on top of it was a small slip of paper with a handwritten word: encampment.

NOTE: the theme of being in a furnished house like this is a recurring one for me, but the dreams are usually different, I'm in different houses with different furnishings, different people, yet there is most always a familiarity to them.

I looked up "encampment" in my Strong's Bible Concordance, and this led me to "encampeth" and Psalm 34, with an emphasis on verse 7, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He will deliver them."

Hi Karen! What a great dream!

I am a trainee and I am interpreting your dream as practise. Please let me know what you think and what resonates with you!

There is a new thing you are moving into that mainly you are involved in.

You will be picking up on something already started/ an inheritance (left behind things) for a particular work; where you will be administrating and creating (sewing machine) things.

Picking up this work like a passed down baton, you will also gain robust connection to places hard to reach (heavy duty communication machine).

It feels like whatever you are moving into, you can be certain that you will have strong reliable communication in your time of need (encampment, Ps. 34.7) in both a spiritual and physical sense.

@Mai Han an update for you, as I was reminded of this dream today and do believe that it was related to a big life change the very next month after having it: On 11/15/20 I became the caregiver for my elderly mother-in-law whose health was declining and she was in need of someone on a daily basis. Later that month she was diagnosed with a serious illness that required chemotherapy and numerous regular doctor and hospital visits, this continued until her death on 7/2/21. I was her primary caregiver, advocate and medical-record keeper for the last 7 1/2 months of her life.

There was an antique sewing machine in her bedroom, it had belonged to her mother before her death in the late 1990’s, and she—my MIL, had been a caregiver for her mother during her last two years or so.

so looking at your dream again and what you shared… it looks like

Sewing machine - i though this was abt creating! But this puzzle piece is actually pointing to your MIL! wow.

She sacrificially took care of her mother before her death. God honoured that and it was returned back to her through your service ❤️ Your act of love and sacrifice is honoured by God. Because you honoured a mother (like Ruth did to her MIL) - you are granted another portion of blessing and inheritance from your MILs. In the dream you got her sewing machine (her inheritance). I believe the inheritance is spiritual and physical and you will see them manifest after this.

Duo purpose your dream had these two repeating side by side elements.

Office/craft rooms

filing cabinets / sewing machine

telephone / typewriter

office, files, telephone - they facilitate communicating orders and organize a body to make things work effectively.

craft room, sewing machine, typewriter - they facilitate the creation of new things like clothes or writings. They can fix them too. perhaps the sewing machine is a clue for your MIL but also has a second meaning that is creating.

perhaps you are walking into duo functions of Office and creating. If you are.. then the Lord will encamp around you in this place and keep you safe. He does this to those who fear him. which often looks like honouring Him over what man thinks and says abt you. Psalm 34.7
