I was supposed to be at the Ashram (an institution co founded by my grandfather which has many activities such as orphanage, prayer meetings etc) with some other friends to attend the Sunday church service at the Ashram Chapel. I was due to travel from somewhere else and join. But I got late to reach there and once I reached there, was spending time outside the chapel talking to some friends (though I was supposed to be inside the chapel as the service began). I was not feeling happy for not going into the chapel as the service was going on and was also a bit noisy.
I then saw a person by the name Matthew (who is one of the elders at the Ashram) coming out of the chapel though the service was going on (but probably towards the end). I gave him a tap on his shoulder as a greeting and he had something in both hands.
We entered the chapel and my grandfather (who passed away 20 years back) seemed angry at us coming in late. He even commented on the lateness and my father also looked at me in anger. I did not find any familiar faces in the chapel except my father, grand father and maybe some of my father's siblings. We gave the customary hand shake as part of the service. (part of the traditional anglican service).
Towards the end of the service, my grandfather announced that there will be a prayer meeting everyday from now and that Mr. Cherian (apparently referring to me - this is my middle name and not a name I use commonly) will share the message on 'Identity'. I looked at him to confirm if he really intended me and he nodded. I was pleasantly surprised and both him and my father and I were then smiling. Felt happy at the end of it.
Thank you Michael, that is an amazing message. There has surely been obstacles probably largely created by myself. Thinking about the perspective of that not leading to traditional ministry is so true - an aspect I have never looked at. Thank you again
@jithinchandy This is a great dream that indicates the deep call upon your life and the need you have to both understand who you are in Christ and to help others understand who they are. You have a generational calling on your life, but you have faced some substantial obstacles and have not always been seen, even by family, as being ready to walk in your destiny. While there may have been distractions along the way, they have also kept you from falling into the trap of pursuing traditional means of ministry and allowed you to become who you were created to be instead. This is something that God does (and your family does or will) take delight in.
Hi @jithinchandy, I am a trainee taking the Dream Stories Interpretation Mentoring class and I am interpreting your dream to complete one of my assignments."
It's amazing what your forefathers has done for God, and this dream is a very encouraging dream. You are ready to take on the mantle that your forefathers has left for you. You know your identity in Christ and sonship of Abba. You will know what to do for the ministry. Seek Him and He will guide you! @Michael B. French
If I may take a crack at it. I would say that there is a call to ministry on your life. There may have been a season where you knew where you should be and what you should have been doing but may be did not take it too seriously-you standing outside the church talking with friends knowing you should have gotten to service on time. This passiveness may have been due to insecurities or misplaced priorities-only dreamer and God knows. Perhaps you're arrival to the service late represents you coming to the revelation that God does want you in your rightful place and so do those who have gone before you spiritually. From my brief research the name your grandfather called you means "God remembers." This could mean that although you weren't in place on time-due to different distractions God still remembers you, your assignment and your rightful place in Him.
