I was walking alone on a trail in the woods, a trail that I was very familiar with, heading towards a small rustic open air house—there were doorway and window openings but no doors or windows to close/open. (very similar to a one-room one-solid wall pavilion that I’ve visited in real life, but in the dream it had more rooms and solid interior walls.) As I approached the house a scrawny lion ran away from the backside of it, taking a different trail that ran alongside the edge of a large body of water. Suddenly the lion is heading back towards me though. I’m inside the open house, which is totally empty except that somehow I have a red push lawnmower in front of me, my hands on the handlebars, and I think that I can crank it if it looks like the lion will attack me, but then before I can do anything he is there, right next to me and all I can do is push the uncranked mower towards him, but he easily walks around it. I stand still and close my eyes as he sniffs my hand and I pray, “please let it be quick, please let if he quick (my death)” then I wake up.

I totally relate to the intepretation given by @karen , just to add to it that while you are comfortable with things you are familiar with, the enemy is always looking for open doors to come through, the Lord is saying His Blood provides the protection you need to ensure that the door is closed to the enemy @Michael B. @karen I am a trainee taking the Dream Stories Interpretation Mentoring class and I am interpreting your dream to complete one of my assignments. In the dream, the enemy is trying to intimidate you, but I believe what God wants you to know is that it’s not a power encounter, it’s a truth encounter. In the dream, you didn’t have a chance to crank the mower (rely on your own strength/power), but I believe the red color of the mower is signifying that it’s the redemptive power of Jesus that actually cuts down the power of the enemy. Remind the enemy that you are covered by Jesus and his redemptive power, and that’s what will push back and cut down the enemy. Please feel free to reply and let me know if this resonates with you.
