I have stress dreams... at least that's what I call them. When I'm stressed about something, I dream about it and it feels so incredibly real that when I wake up I can't tell the difference between reality and the dream. Also, these dreams tend to cause me to wake up a lot.
Recently my aunt wanted my cousin to move in with me but I had to tell her no since we already asked someone. Now I have a really hard time telling people no so I was avoiding it and getting super stressed... enter stress dream.
I live in a 3 bedroom apartment and in the dream I discovered a 4th bedroom and was so excited that my cousin could now stay with me. Then, I would wake up and be insanely confused about whether there were 3 or 4 bedrooms!?! And then go back asleep to the same dream, wake up and repeat. It is now 12 hours later and I'm still having a hard time convincing myself that there isn't a 4th bedroom. Logically I know it's not there but in my head I believe it's there.
@Tiffany This is indeed a soul dream brought about by stress and should be turned over to God in pursuit of relief from that stress. However, even stress related dreams can be interpreted (we learn more about that in DreamSIM 2).
@marleerichardson While this dream is a soul dream that is brought by the stress you describe, it is also speaking to you. This dream indicates that there are creative ways to solve the problems you face, but that the creativity comes from a spiritual source and not from your own insight. You must let go of how you handle things and seek the source of spiritual wisdom for how to proceed in dealing with these type situations.
As for the distinguishing dream from reality and the additional stress it creates, the pursuit of the Spirit of God's wisdom should help reduce some of this. I suggest praying that God would provide the insight you need in these stressful times, before going to sleep and ask Him to provide a dream that brings a solution instead of the ones your soul stirs up.
Hi @marleerichardson, I am a trainee taking the Dream Stories Interpretation Mentoring class level 2 and I am interpreting your dream to complete one of my assignments. @Michael B. French
In your case, you already know that stress affect your dreams. The purpose of these dreams are meant to encourage you to take action to manage your day time stress level and issues you already know. One way of response is to give these stress issues to your Creator, who are more than able and willing to provide you with wisdom on how to manage them. As you do so, you will find that these kind of stress induced dreams will reduce or even be removed, to be replaced by dreams that will encourage you and give you hope.
