Abnormally Large Animals Dream 1

I’ve recently had 2 dreams. I was planning on posting one but then I just woke up from another and I feel that they are connected.

In my first dream, I was walking with 2 of my 3 children down this dock over the ocean towards a carnival with their dad Whom I’m separated from. The dock was wooden and narrow but enough space where I could hold both of their hands on both sides. As we walked, a part of the dock had to be stepped up on to continue but it had a metal rectangle attached to the wood that opened to the water below, so you could easily miss the step and fall through. I was getting ready to tell my oldest, 10 year old boy, to look out when he stepped through and I caught his hand and pulled him back up. I spoke in a frustrated and panicked tone and told him he had to pay attention to where he was walking I recall thinking I’m glad that he learned to swim so he’d at least be able to get back to shore.

I looked down under the dock and saw huge (like human size) dead fish Under the dock on the other side that was extended and much bigger. They were washed up on the shore and They were different shades of orange and green I specifically remember teal. There was one fish that had something else swimming around it with a teal tail and black hair. I thought it was a mermaid and tried to catch a glimpse of its face while trying to keep an eye on the kids. It’s like she knew when I would look away and she’d move quicker so I’d miss it.

I recall telling my 4 year old daughter that I thought I saw a mermaid and she ran to the edge of the wooden dock and lays down to see. I freaked out and grabbed her leg and pulled her back and yelled at her that it was not safe, that she could fall in the water and she didn’t know how to swim. I remember feeling overwhelmed and scared that I had just had to save both of my kids lives in a matter of minutes and frustrated because I looked up and their dad was just ahead at the ticket booth laughing and talking with ticket master. I was frustrated with him that he wasn’t paying attention and didn’t help me with making sure they were safe.
